Multidimensional Self Portrait

A few years ago I painted a self portrait that kept eluding me. No matter how hard I tried, the face was distorted, the body was too long or too short and I couldn’t get me right. I put this canvas aside, and in 2026 pulled it out to paint over it. 

I turned the canvas upside down and recreated myself. Since the last time I did a self portrait I’ve learned more about myself. I’ve dug deep into my psyche and seen past lives, aliens and a small child. 

Amongst it all I am putting my best foot forward and putting on my best face.
Doing my best to show up even though I’m scared, rejected and dealing with the lost and broken. 

Me and all my lives and selves coming together to figure it out.
